As another school year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on what an exciting and emotional season this is for so many families throughout Charlotte, Ballantyne, Myers Park, South Charlotte, Dilworth, and Lake Norman.

To the Class of 2026 — congratulations.

Graduation is more than a ceremony. It represents years of hard work, growth, challenges, friendships, achievements, and unforgettable memories. Watching seniors step confidently into the next chapter of life is one of the greatest privileges I have as a Master Photographer, Master Craftsman, and Certified Professional Photographer in Charlotte, NC.

And to the Class of 2027 — your time has officially begun.

Each year, I select a limited number of seniors to represent Stephen Dey Signature Portraits throughout the school year. Senior models participate in exclusive creative sessions, styled shoots, social media features, and special events while helping showcase the upcoming senior season.

This is an incredible opportunity for students who:

  • Love being in front of the camera
  • Want a unique senior portrait experience
  • Enjoy meeting new people
  • Are active in school, sports, arts, or leadership activities
  • Want to help represent one of Charlotte’s premier luxury senior photography brands

Growing up as one of seven children in a large Pennsylvania family, I experienced the deep bonds of family life from an early age. Over the years, our family trips to the Outer Banks became cherished traditions that strengthened our connection and reinforced something I still believe deeply today:

Those experiences shaped not only my life, but also the heart behind Stephen Dey Signature Portraits and the way I approach family portraiture today.

I have been blessed to be married to my best friend, Jessica, and together we have built a life centered around our children and the values of faith, love, service, and family unity. Those same values continue to guide both my personal life and the experience I create for the families I photograph.

I believe family portraits are about far more than appearances. They are about preserving the people, relationships, and moments that matter most before time quietly moves forward.
